Product Description
A Softer, Warmer Take on a Classic Landscape Stone
Texas Rose is the rock to choose when a project wants warmth without going full red or rust. The color reads as a soft rose-and-gold blend, with pink, tan, copper, and the occasional slate-gray or olive stone mixed through the load. It’s understated, naturally varied, and pulls beautifully off both warm-toned hardscape (brick, terracotta, stucco) and cooler architectural pieces (charcoal pavers, steel, weathered wood).
The angular crushed shape comes from quarried, screened stone, giving it the stable footing and clean ground texture you want for ground cover and bed work. It locks in cleanly under foot traffic and stays put through monsoon runoff. A strong middle-ground choice between the bolder Black Cherry and the more neutral Autumn Gold.
Sizes & Bulk Options
- 1/2″ Screened: the finer grade. Better for pathway tops, dog runs, decomposed-style fill, and tighter detail work around plantings.
- 1″ Screened: the all-purpose landscape grade. Standard for ground cover, beds, tree wells, and feature accents.
Sold by the ton, half ton, and full truckload. Coverage averages roughly 80 sq ft per ton at 2″ depth for the 1″ grade, slightly more for the 1/2″.
Why Texas Rose Works in Phoenix Landscapes
- Warm without going bold: reads as warm and inviting without the high-drama saturation of a deep red, which makes it an easier whole-yard choice.
- UV-stable colors: the rose, gold, and gray tones come from the stones themselves and don’t fade or bleach under Arizona sun.
- Pairs widely: the multi-tone palette plays cleanly off most plant palettes, hardscape colors, and home exteriors from territorial to modern.
- Angular and stable: screened crushed shape compacts cleanly and stays in place through monsoon runoff.
- Brick and stucco friendly: the rose tones pull beautifully off red brick, warm stucco, and terracotta-tile rooflines.
