​Celebrating 50 Years: The ABC Sand & Rock Story

Family-owned since 1974, A.B.C. Sand & Rock initially began under the banner ABC Enterprises as a modest retail yard for bulk construction materials in Phoenix, Arizona. Within that same year, we purchased our first dump truck to extend our services and offer delivery to our customers. Committed to always meeting our customers’ needs, we expanded our dump truck fleet, and introduced decorative landscaping materials to our retail store.

Building on our reputation for quality service, and frustrated by low quality products by other suppliers, we next set our sights to one day produce high quality, construction grade materials of our own.

Just over ten years later, A.B.C. Sand & Rock was created and the first mine site in the company’s history was opened to the public. Now in our 50th consecutive year in business, we attribute our success and longevity to our team, which shares our core objectives.

Over the past 50 years, our commitment to these core objectives along with the exceptional dedication of our staff has made ABC not just an industry leader but a staple in The Valley. Today, A.B.C. Sand & Rock continues to grow under the leadership of the third generation of the founding family.
