Naturally Tumbled, Matte-Finish Mexican Beach Pebble
This is the natural-finish version of our Mexican black beach pebble, tumbled smooth by decades of Pacific tidewater on the beaches of Mexico, then sorted and bagged at our Phoenix yard. Unlike our high-polish Black Beach Pebble, which carries a mirror-grade glossy finish, this version keeps the soft matte sheen the stone earns naturally in the surf. Both are excellent products. They just hit different design briefs.
Color reads as a deep charcoal-to-black in direct sun, with subtle gray and slate variation from stone to stone. The shape is rounded oval to nearly spherical, with smooth edges and the natural character marks you only get from stones that were shaped by water rather than a machine. Sized to 1″-2″ pieces, it’s a workhorse landscape grade that lays cleanly in beds, around water features, and along bed edges without rolling.

- 1″ to 2″ piece size: the most-requested landscape grade. Versatile across beds, water features, pot toppers, and dry creek bottoms.
- 75 lb bags: larger bag size for serious projects. One 75 lb bag covers roughly 2 sq ft at 2″ depth.

- Mexican Black Beach Pebble (this product): natural matte finish. Cleaner, more organic, lower-key look. Pairs well with native plants, weathered wood, natural stone hardscape, and contemporary-Southwest design.
- Black Beach Pebble (polished): mirror-grade glossy finish. Higher contrast, more dramatic, reads as luxury. Pairs well with water features, pool surrounds, and modern architecture where the gloss is part of the design.
