A Construction-Grade Sand for Base and Bedding Work
Bedding sand is the workhorse material that sits underneath the visible work. It’s what goes beneath paver patios, flagstone walkways, concrete slabs, sod, drain lines, electrical conduit, and pool equipment pads. The job is simple but critical: a stable, level, well-draining layer that locks everything above it in place and keeps it that way for years.
Our bedding sand is a fine-grade construction sand with a mix of fine particles and small angular gravel pieces. The angular shape is what makes it work. It interlocks and compacts under load instead of shifting around the way rounded play sand will, while the fine grade fills the voids cleanly. Color reads as a natural gray-tan, which is irrelevant for buried applications but worth noting for any exposed grading work.
Sizes & Bulk Options
- By the cubic yard: standard bulk measurement for paver projects, pipe runs, and most landscape grading work. One cubic yard covers approximately 100 sq ft at 3″ depth, or 150 sq ft at 2″ depth.
- By the half yard: for smaller residential projects, repair work, and equipment pad installs.
- By the ton: available for contractor accounts and bulk orders.
