Installation & Maintenance
¼” Crushed Installation Tips:
Begin by excavating the area to the desired depth and compacting the subgrade. For base preparation, apply 2–3 inches of ¼” crushed stone and compact thoroughly with a plate compactor. When using minus, dampen slightly to help fines bind during compaction. For visible finishes like pathways, the screened variety offers a cleaner aesthetic.
¼” Crushed Maintenance Tips:
Once installed and compacted properly, ¼” Crushed requires minimal upkeep. Periodically check for settling, especially in high-traffic areas or after heavy rain. Add and recompact material as needed. For exposed applications, occasional raking will help maintain a smooth surface.
